I was just given a new Nikon D3100 and want to document 365 days of picture taking. Let's see where this goes!

December 31st 2010
I was getting ready to leave this morning and found the two cats in the tub either watching the water or plotting to take over the world. Meeting adjourned.

Some people say we look alike. Well she better, she's my sister Amanda. :) There's a 50/50 chance she will make this face when you take her picture.

Another food picture, I'm starting to see a trend. This is from Christmas Eve at my Uncle and Aunts house. Snow on the ground, a cool drink in hand and a warm fire to sit by. Perfect.

I told my dad I wanted to learn how to make Katah. It is an Armenian sweet bread with cinnamon and walnuts. A coin is hidden inside and whoever finds it in their slice will have good fortune for the year! Cut me a BIG piece, I want that coin!

This one is from Christmas, but I had to share it. My cousin Justine is vegetarian so my mom wanted to make something she would enjoy- butternut squash with a wild rice and craisin mix. It was so good, and healthy too!

This was taken completely by accident, but I love it! Maya is a bengal cat and my parents started taking care of her a couple of years ago when my schedule became too busy. At least I get to see her whenever I visit. Now I wonder what is on her mind...

Christmas Day! The extended family, minus a cousin, but added a couple of husbands. We ate a lot, laughed a lot, and took a million pictures.

The cutest grandparents! This is my Nonno and Nonna, that's Italian for Grandpa and Grandma. We enjoyed an afternoon dinner with relatives at my Aunt and Uncle's then later went to Christmas mass.
December 23rd 2010
My mom's lasagna, what can I say? I just got off the plane this afternoon from Florida to visit everyone and went straight to my Nonno and Nonna's house only to fill up on gnocchi. Lasagna, well that was for dinner! With being Italian, eating a lot isn't uncommon.
This is my dad's 1950's bowling machine. The nostalgia led him to have one of his own, which he completely restored to the original condition. We often play it when I'm home and I have a slightly better record than him and don't think he's being "nice", we are plenty competitive!
Meet Mieka, Amanda (my sister) and Eric's (her husband) first dog together. Only a few years old and loves everyone.

This is Kingston. He's a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel. I know this sounds pretty fancy, but he's just like every other dog! Well, kind of. He's already stayed at the Ritz-Carlton hotel for a dance competition. Maybe he's a little spoiled. :) Kingston comes to the studio every single day to greet the students otherwise he enjoys sleeping in his bed or scarfing down his food in under a minute.
